I watched I Care a Lot tonight. I absolutely loved Rosamund PIke in it. I think this is the first thing I've seen her in where she is using an American accent. I'm not sure I would say it feels entirely natural on her, but that may just be because I'm so used to her not having one.

Last night I watched #ICareAlot and it was very disturbing because it's based on scamming elders and placing them in a nursing home by a group of people including a doctor all for the almighty dollar. #Disgusting

The movie was quite a ride.

I hope this doesn't give more scammers the idea, but it probably did.

A story of entirely unlikable characters *can* work, but there needs to be something enjoyable about disliking them.

#ICareALot worked, imo, because Rosamund Pike played her character with overwhelming conviction that she was Grace Kelly in a Hitchcock thriller.

Nobody in #Kaleidoscope possesses that brash counterfactual conviction.
