First plenary talk tomorrow at the #ICRC2025 is by Luciano Rezzolla who happens also to be the current Andrews’ professor of Astronomy in Trinity College Dublin, a position once held by William Rowan Hamilton. Nowadays it is a largely honorary position.

Professor Rezzolla’s main research topic is the physics of compact objects, such as black holes and neutron stars.
