Steel producers to trial Hydrexia’s solid-state hydrogen storage

Hydrexia has partnered with Sinopec and Baowu to test tonne-scale metal-hydride hydrogen storage containers, exploring their use for hydrogen supply in metallurgical processes.

Along with Sinopec’s research arm and one of the world’s largest steel producers, Baowu, Hydrexia aims to use its magnesium-based MHX system to deliver hydrogen to heavy industry.
