The National Samsung Electronics Union (NSEU) in South Korea has mobilized 6,000 members to join the first strike in the 55-year history of Samsung Electronics at the company’s semiconductor facility in Hwaseong. The strike was called over failed collective bargaining negotiations and union busting.
The National #Samsung Electronics #Union (#NSEU), whose roughly 30,000 members make up almost a quarter of the company's South Korean workforce, decided to indefinitely extend the #strike started on Monday as management shows no indication of holding talks.
The first strike at Samsung Electronics since its foundation in 1969 and 124,000 employed.
