Nobody asked, but I think Su Ho is my favourite of the #Hwarang.

First of all he looked adorable with that half-bang hairdo, or whatever that's called.
Also he wasn't being an unreasonable arsehole to anyone.
The crush on an older woman, though of course doomed, was cute.
And I always love a good sibling relationship (too few of these around in fiction, in my opinion).

For a rather small supporting character he had a surprising amount of complex relationships with different people.
Can we please have more of these, and also for female characters?

#Hwarang is a pretty fun series, and I find it interesting that this kind of training school existed. There are a bunch of them also in The Great Queen Seon Deok, a very painfully long, but pretty interesting series. From the Silla era.
It's on Viki now. Since I'll be travelling for a couple of weeks, I'm kind of looking for a rewatch of something.

Finished #Hwarang!

I know I kept complaining. And the editing IS a mess sometimes.

But I still quite liked it.

And I think a lot more series should have episodes in the 20s and not 40.

#Hwarang 18/20

Some of the editing is a little annoying. I'm sure the flashbacks take up the minutes of an entire episode.

The "warrior boarding school" is a fun setup though.

She's like "I'm so glad I have a big brother" - but he's not really her brother. Her brother died a horrible violent death.
And I feel like I'm supposed to be glad about this, because it enables them to be a possible romantic couple. But I just think it's heartbreakingly sad.

Finished episode 5 of #Hwarang
Already 1/4
First episode of #Hwarang was silly; the second episode has a very different mood, very violent, dark and sad.
Maybe that's why I dropped it the first time around?

I am still watching several dramas - kinda - but since it will soon be removed from Netflix, I'm giving #Hwarang a try.
Although I'm not even sure whether I'll be able to finish it before it gets removed.
