_The Evening Post_, 14 November 1924:
RESCUED FROM DROWNING
But for the prompt action of Messrs. Kershaw, Morgan, and Searle, members of the staff of the Hutt River Board, the Hutt River yesterday would have claimed another victim. Arthur #Page, a boy of 13 years of age, who resides with his parents in the #Taita Gorge, went bathing in the river yesterday along with his brother, and against his father’s instructions. He was soon in difficulty through getting beyond his depth in a hole scoured out by the recent floods. Fortunately, the men who were working in the vicinity heard the cries of his brother, and also fortunately they possessed a boat in which they went to the boy’s assistance. By this time the boy had sunk. When the boy was secured he was unconscious. Artificial respiration was applied, and after a time the boy recovered and was taken to his home.

I realized a while back that my profile doesn't include any indication of where in the world I am.

I have now edited it to say Location: Lower Hutt (Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai) New Zealand.

Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai means something along the lines of Excellent-River-on-Sea, or "the place where the excellent river meets the sea".

The English name Lower Hutt indicates that the city is built on the lower reaches of the Hutt River, named after some guy* called Hutt - as are the two (two!!) Hutt Rivers in Australia.

(*Sir William Hutt was a British politician heavily involved in the colonization of New Zealand and Australia - to the extent that one can be heavily involved without ever setting foot in either land.)

I would recommend we change the river's English name to Excellence, but I'm not sure I want to live in Lower Excellence, (however apt that might be).

Despite the city name, my closest waterway is actually the Waiwhetū Stream. Waiwhetū means "starry water" as it is a gently flowing waterway and reflects the stars at night.
