@matt @Pete I would also add that #Zcash had potential, but they instead encourage their userbase to not use the #privacy tech baked in and instead decide to work with law enforcement and #chainanalysis companies to profit off of the lack of privacy.

@arh totally agree that we want to move people to #decentralized solutions. Matrix has improved a lot over the last couple of years as a secure messenger, but it is still confusing for folks. @lunch I also agree with you. #Cryptocurrency can be used for all sorts of positive applications, including those that are non monetary. One example is a project I work on implementing a secure messenger called #HushChat. @fluxx @trashheap #HushChat is using the same protocol as #Signal but it will not interface with the #Signal software, so native #Signal messages will not be involved.
