The crank shaft and wheel are now housed in a nice thick wood cigar box. I'm using #cbgitty box as the sound board and possible bottom...still figuring the sonic realities of that.
The neck is going to be at least one hardwood one with ,maybe, a fretboard. The drones are going on the sides in a as yet to be determined layout.

I touched my #HurdyGurdy (top one) again, first time in a year.
I took the battery out of the pick up, tuned it and even tried to play a little.
After that I tuned and tried the second from the top, too.
Next time I'll tune andn play the #NerdyGurdy
I no longer own the bottom one (this is an old picture)...

SuperIluFirst time, after a year, I touched my #HurdyGurdy again (well, actually even two of them).
First I just wanted to take the battery out of the pickup to prevent it from leaking, then I thought I could also tune it and after that I even tried to play something that (with some days of careful practice) could evolve into a song again.
Grabbed the second instrument to tune it, too...
