Board of Directors of the Greater Cedar Rapids Open cancel this year’s event

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - The Board of Directors of the Greater Cedar Rapids Open (GCRO) have decided to cancel this year’s event.The GCRO has previously welcomed thousands of golfers to Hunters Ridge Golf Course in Marion.The tournament features many prominent alumni, including PGA Tour champion Zach Johnson.The Board of Directors did not provide a reason as to why the event is being cancelled.They expressed their gratitude to the community in a press release Friday, thanking “the countless volunteers, donors, golfers, and fans who have been part of this journey.”Copyright 2025 KCRG.
