That mall that #HungryNinja is in at Merivale and Clyde is emptying out quickly. Not sure what's in store for it. Given its vintage I'd speculate it could be a candidate for a wrecking ball and rebuild
It's a poor use of resources, being a single storey. A better use of infrastructure would be a few storeys with ground floor commercial and rental apts above.
Mid afternoon coffee and snack Japanese style, from the #HungryNinja, a local Japanese/Korean shop. They've got lots of good snacks there and staples of Japanese cuisine.
The Boss coffees are a huge drinks brand, and a bit funny because it always seems to be that they may have stolen a drawing of Ernest Hemingway for their branding.
Was able to pop into the awesome #HungryNinja shop on my walk home. Great selection of Japanese and Korean snacks, packaged foods and such.
The staff there set new heights in cold, impersonal service, but it's still a pleasure to pop in for a look and to get some favourite items.
Their selection of staples like instant ramen, curry roux, and natto is pretty impressive.
