Was könnte da besser passen als die #GrüneZitadelle von #Hundertwasser in Magdeburg. Ich muss mehrere Bilder posten, weil dieses #Gebäude von jedem Winkel aus anders aussieht und man es ganz schlecht "greifen" kann. Na ja, bei diesen Sommerbildern sieht man dafür wenigstens, warum sie G̲r̲ü̲n̲e̲ Zitadelle heißt. // The obvious choice today is Hundertwasser's "Green Citadel" in #Magdeburg. I have to post multiple shots because every angle of this #building is so unique and it's hard to "grasp" it. But in these summer shots, you may get an idea why Hundertwasser called it the 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯 Citadel.

This is one of the main avenues of #Magdeburg, Breiter Weg, with the #GrüneZitadelle ("Green Citadel") by #Hundertwasser.

I did a sightseeing tour in a double decker bus with kiddo yesterday (an Easter gift) and of course this was one of the attractions - the trees of the #building are getting greener and greener, I must come back soon and show you! 😊

#FensterFreitag: I usually prefer to show one #window only, but with #Hundertwasser, it's impossible to pick one because almost every window is unique!

This is the "Green Citadel" (#GrüneZitadelle) in #Magdeburg, one of Hundertwasser's last projects. I love this #building, it's a great addition to the city, right next to the cathedral. It houses flats, a hotel, cafés and restaurants, small shops, and a great little theatre. It also features two beautiful courtyards (one with a fountain), and a public toilet that's also all Hundertwasser, including a fish tank. 😂 It looks a bit dreary in winter without the lush greens that are integral to Hundertwasser's design and philosophy. Expect more snaps later in the year to see all its #colourful glory!
