This article explores several complementary definitions of #SmallTech and #HumanTech (frugal, sovereign and open), their pros and cons when implemented individually, and proposes a sustainable approach at the intersection of them.
It advocates for more direct connections between users and developers, for tools with a specific purpose rather than big platforms with ever-increasing scopes, for localized rather than one-size-fits-all global solutions, and for a “local pub” approach opposed to the McDonald’s approach.
