For a while there, the news made it seem like like AI was going to swallow every job whole. But the data from the Census Bureau is showing something more complex. Turns out, major companies are already dialing back on their AI adoption, and that's creating a premium on human judgment and domain expertise. It's not a retreat from the technology, it's a recalibration. The lesson is that AI is a tool, and like any tool, it's only as good as the person using it, especially when the tool itself is still prone mistakes.
