Iβm glad that the growing availability of on-device camera OCR will soon allow the ugly QR codes adorning our environment to go away. That was never a good solution.
And in the same way, I hope opt-in full-text indexing will eventually replace machine-targeted hashtag blocks at the bottom of mastodon posts.
