Poor Hugless Douglas sustained a nasty ouchy in the line of duty (he literally had some of the stuffing knocked out of him!).

He has been receiving tender medical care from our own Sarah, and is already back on duty in the Children's Room. He's such a trouper.

Double Doug!

Our beloved Hugless Douglas bear has had a tremendous amount of love over the years.

The lovely gang at Hachette found one in their cupboards and have very kindly sent us an extremely cuddly, new Douglas!

Old Doug is retiring, and will be living in the bookshop basement where he can be a therapy bear to tired booksellers on their break, and for the rest of the time he will be keeping bees with Mr Holmes.
