@arichtman Yup… #hugops to all involved.

@mwl #MWL and posse are alive and well despite ${undefined_thing}, and I’m sure he’ll have stories to tell.

#HugOps

#HugOps à Naître et grandir qui a de la misère depuis une coupe de jours 😂
Major outage, #hugops naturally, but I'm also in a corner gibbering and hoping for #catops

I wish I was making this up but today I've literally been unable to add my vacuum cleaner to my Tailscale network because Codeberg was down.

(#hugops to the good people of Codeberg but this only reinforces my belief that we need to accelerate p2p development to obsolete alllllll client-server single-point-of-failure junk ASAP)

codeberg is having a hard time... since yesterday evening #HugOps
#HugOps to @Codeberg btw, I love you folks <3

And AWS and Cloudflare and everybody else keep having outages and their postmortem blog posts read like they were written to keep investors happy, for damage control instead of learning.

What is the next generation of grasshoppers going to learn?

I know there are still people being ground up in the unforgiving machinery of these coeporations, but from the outside... I can't tell. Are they really trying? Do we still send #hugops now? To a faceless machine?

No matter my resentment for AWS, I felt a sense of community when people in the industry sent #hugops their way when shit was on fire. Because there were people really trying their best in there, trying to keep the machinery of so many people's lives running. It felt honorable in a way.

Now let me be clear: part of that was naïve. My politics have evolved. AWS was never just a neutral technological backbone, and the very scale it operates at is a large part of what makes it bad.
