I am looking at #Stoat (formerly #Revolt) and #Hubzilla as alternatives to Google Chat and Discord.
Stoat is more like discord in appearance and probably would feel more familiar for those users, but it's also very 18+ forward for a school project to coalesce on and it's not actually fedi, i think? (Their support is a bluesky channel, which I'm not going to join)
Hubzilla doesn't have a dedicated app, which i think people would like, and I'm not sure it does chatrooms.

I love the Infinity Tool of Hubzilla. The last few days have been mentally tough, so when I come up check updates, I can move that slider bar and get the updates from those I care about and the garbage all gets weeded out. #hubzilla is the best!

Keine Ahnung, ob dieser Artikel nun wirklich für andere interessant ist. Ich beschreibe hier den Umzug meines Hubzilla Hub Whoville von einem Remote-Server zu einem anderen Remote-Server. Sowas ist natürlich auch immer ausgesprochen individuell und speziell, was die Voraussetzungen betrifft. Auf der anderen Seite beschreibe ich natürlich auch etliche Schritte und Überlegungen, die für vergleichbare Umzugspläne interessant sein könnten...
