After the death of #LiKeqiang, former #premier of #China, there is #tension. Traditionally, #burials often are used to express #dissatisfaction, #discontent, or #riot like the one of #ZhouEnlai in 1976, of #HuYaobang, 1989.
Last time the government was that nervous about a #funeral was after #Ürümqifire during the #A4 #protests or #白纸运动 .
In China #Li became more popular as he was not part of #XiJinping group of power. As #HuJintao he was part of the #YouthLeague or #Tuanpei 团派 faction.

When I see people hagiographizing and even mourning a top level deceased CCP cadre I want to ask:

What CCP policies exactly did he make less repressive or violent during his time around the 'top'? Any worth mentioning?

E.g. #HuYaobang was mourned because of his belated attempts to moderate the regime's policies...

Of course, the act of mourning for someone *other* than the great leader may carry a meaning in itself, but mourning a "team player" outside the #GFW?
