R.I.P. Dongle McDongleFace.
That's genuinely how they named the original single unit USB dongle for my #TundraLabs full body #VR trackers.
After 3+ years of unplugging it after every #VRChat session so #SteamVR wouldn't start up again during recharge, the solder joints on the USB connector finally broke.
For the past couple of weeks, every time I plugged it in, Windows made stereotypical Protogen intercourse noises. USB device connected, disconnected, connected.
The new generation of dongles is going the #HTCVive way of doing things with one dedicated dongle required for every tracker for some reason.
And this means that I'll now have to use cable ties to try and attach the spider web of individual tracker dongles to my desk in a somewhat organized fashion.
Lots and lots of cable ties.
I suppose that new design has some kind of advantage, maybe better connection and less interference?
I never really had any major issues with the single dongle except for the hardware build quality.
