Skylab, “Indigo” from #1, 1994

Skylab is an English/Japanese group, among whose founding members is DJ/producer #HowieB, which explains a lot about their sound. They seem to be an on again/off again project more than an ongoing group, but between their two full length albums they released a steady stream of singles and EPs throughout the #90s. Their heavily #electronic music has been labeled #TripHop, but I find their sound more ethereal, and rhythmic but in an off-kilter way, which can combine in a vaguely, deliciously disturbing way.
