Hope everyone had a nice #StPatricksDay. It was low key for me this year but I had a Guinness and a Maltings, and watched the first couple of episodes of #HowToGetToHeavenFromBelfast by #LisaMcGee of #DerryGirls fame. Based on those two episodes I’d say she’s onto another winner.
I do fancy a Redbreast whiskey to top things but someone booked a morning meeting with me :(
This show absolutely rocks in the last few episodes. I do have a feeling that there are many viewers who didn't make it this far, and that is truly a shame for the story it wants to tell
And I want to give ALL the accolades to the writers, because someone there knows about trauma and how that manifests in everyone involved. I absolutely love how the abuser gets called out by one of her friends, while they're playing innocent and weak.
Remember, even the most terrible of humans grow old...
Hmmm.... Honestly it took me a while to warm up to this but the last three episodes are Excellent 👌
Binge watching "How to get to heaven from Belfast" and can I just shout out Tommy, the goodest of eggs, who apparently works 24/7 in Ellem.
If you curious, give it a watch. It's fun, although a bit Gilmore girls esque but I'm very much not the target demographic
