A tornado watch was issued for Houston and surrounding counties on Monday, November 24, 2025, until 7 PM as a confirmed tornado touched down near Willowbrook in Jersey Village at 1:38 PM. The National Weather Service warned of damaging winds up to 50 mph, large hail, and additional tornado threats as storms moved through Harris, Montgomery, and ten other counties, with a second severe weather line expected to hit downtown Houston around 10 PM.
An area of low pressure in the southwestern Gulf has a 20% chance of forming into a tropical cyclone over the next two days. The National Weather Service says the disturbance could bring heavy rainfall to the Houston and Galveston areas.

Up to five major hurricanes, classified as category 3 or higher, are predicted to form in the Atlantic Ocean before the end of November, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service.
