I have been busy, but quiet, for a while. You know, life. The details are pretty mundane but I have been focussed on a lot of personal stuff and I have been slowly making progress on my van. So many of my future plans revolve around the van and what I hope to be able to accomplish with it. I’ll post a full update soon-ish but I do hope to be able to make my first trip in it to the RPM Barona Drags on May 3rd. I have such a long way to go with this build and it is very rough but I’m hoping that all of my work with the less glamorous stuff will pay off and she'lll get me to Barona and back safe and sound. Making a big push in the next two weeks to hopefully bring this former tweaker van that I bought in parts on its first new adventure in 35 years. In the meantime here’s a moment at TROG Flabob in 2022 with the Omaha Coupe in the morning mist that really makes me want to hit the road and shoot, write and reconnect again. Remembering the amazing day spent photographing the McGee Roadster for the October 2023 75th Anniversary Hot Rod Magazine cover story. What an incredible opportunity. A huge thank you to Hot Rod Magazine and John for the opportunity, The Petersen Automotive Museum for bringing the car to where it was shot on the campus of USC in 1948 and to Bruce Meyer for filling in for Bob McGee and for helping to make this happen.
