How many hospitalists does it take to change a lightbulb? One - but it will still cost a fortune because:
1) the hospitalist doesn't have the privileges to adjust the lightbulb, so they ...
2) consult the electrician to change the lightbulb, but not until ...
3) the social worker establishes who can legally consent to the exchange, and ...
4) consulting the palliative care physician to establish if the exchange is within the goals of care of the lightbulb, rather than comfort measures only.
Starting off my week by thinking about our #HospitalMedicine Annual Celebration this past weekend. Such a great night & a lovely team gathering! I'm very grateful for this teaching award from our residents! Looking forward to getting back to bedside rounds this week!😃
