Morning everyone, I ‘might’ have just gone and made a purchase at the weekend of this beautiful pink Alstroemeria- still flowering away as the weather has been so mild recently !
This will go in to our bigger potager grow house, where it may just continue to reward us over the next month or so before the January cold encourages it to rest for a month or two.

Despite being in a north facing aspect, the remaining plants 🌱 in the courtyard are putting on a great show of colour and interest this month.
And yes, some of the more tender and less frost hardy have been moved under cover to protect from the worst of the cold.

These tomatoes have been hanging around waiting for attention for quite some time, and are no showing their protests at being somewhat ignored and beginning to split ! They’ll be harvested today and eaten over coming days - such a treat to be still eating homegrown fresh tomatoes off the vine in Mid November ! An introduction, our focus here is on plants and growing, including for colour and food. As we rent, all of our plants are grown in pots and containers, which means we have great flexibility in moving things around having fun arranging ! Love this, my parent’s garden, and great to still see so much colour still there, although with the way temperatures are going, the winter effect will soon be unveiled as the deciduous plants loose their leaves and the perennials die back.
