In July 2017, an experienced outdoor enthusiast vanished in Northern Nevada while on an outdoor excursion. After an extensive search, he was never located. On the three-year anniversary of his disappearance, friends and loved ones recall the events leading up to his vanishing, and for the first time, speak about the horrifying conclusion of his fate.
I know this isn't most people's experience with this, but Horror in the High Desert 2: Minerva didn't work as well to me as the original. There are certainly positives here; the running time is tighter and the creepy moments are more evenly balanced rather than just being at the end, and the performances are better overall. It's nice to see Suziey Block back as reporter Gal Roberts as well, providing at least some link between this and the first film beyond the setting and some vague elements. The bigger problem to me is that the storyline isn't as focused.
