Somehow, I mist this trailer for #HorizonHuntersGathering , the _other_ upcoming co-op game for the #HorizonZeroDawn / #HorizonForbiddenWest franchise.

Unlike #HorizonSteelFrontiers , this seems to focus on predefined rather than custom characters. Nevertheless, this has some things of interest. From a worldbuilding/lore perspective, I am particularly intrigued by the "Machine Incursions" mechanic (at the 7:10 mark) where a mechanical construct emerges from the ground and machines emerge from it.

Since this game is considered "fully canonical" within the franchise, I wonder if the same mechanic will appear in the sequel to Horizon Forbidden West.
