AI curriculum, including ChatGPT, introduced in Hong Kong junior secondary schools #AIforStudents

The Education Bureau in Hong Kong has introduced the city's first curriculum on artificial intelligence (AI) for junior secondary students. The curriculum includes topics such as ChatGPT, fundamental AI concepts, computer vision, and AI ethics. Nearly half of the curriculum is dedicated to exploring the ethical implications and social impacts of AI. The curriculum aims to help students understand the responsible use and impact of AI. Additionally, an enriched coding curriculum will be introduced for Primary Four to Six students, focusing on computational thinking concepts using Scratch programming language.
