A TV series I used to watch and enjoy was Homicide: Life on the Streets, an American police procedural set in Baltimore, aired in the 1990s. I don't think it's streaming anywhere---a crime.

The first I remember seeing Belzer was when he did a standup comedy routine on HBO when I was in high school - this was around ‘81 or ‘82. I’ll never forget how he summed up Ronald Reagan as POTUS: “We got a fuckin’ cowboy actor runnin’ the country.” A year or so later, he showed up briefly as a standup comedian at the nightclub where Tony Montana hung out in Brian DePalma’s “Scarface.”
