Can't remember where I heard it, but vaguely intrigued by the idea that synchronicities may be the result of a data-based universe attempting to save computing power / functioning like a Google search, the way a recently encountered vehicle or character model might show up again and again in a procedurally generated videogame.
Not putting any stock in this, but it's an interesting theory / thought experiment.
