here's a question I think can only be answered on fedi, feel free to boost for visibility. If you were to use the Holocene calendar ruling for years, where year Jan 0, 0 HC is the beginning of the Holocene geologic period, then measure years by the rules of the #InternationalFixedCalendar #IFC what day would it be today? I know using the roman calendar systems, it would be 12023 today and to keep things simple most just leave the days as they are, but I find the IFC more numerically compelling. The program I hacked together to run the numbers seems to suggest a serious delta between the Julian/Gregorian date and this amalgam. #HoloceneCalendar #time #question #calendar #science #math

 The #HumanEra doesn’t start with the initial emergence of humans (about 2M yrs ago) or of modern humans (200K-300K yrs ago), but from when our knowledge & technology allowed us to begin fundamentally changing the face of the Earth by building large structures.
