Well, for the first day of my holiday, I have been alternately sleeping, and writing blurbs for daily photos for a couple of my sites - maybe not as much as I would like (I'll leave you to figure out if I mean sleeping or writing|!), but it's something.
I'm off to Birmingham in the morning, leaving here around 525AM (!!), and getting back home around 9PM.
Weather is looking... well, a bit much for my taste, forecast is for a high of around 32C, when anything over 18C is a bit much for my comfort.
We have my grand-daughter on Wednesday and Thursday, off out with my youngest on Friday (still no idea what we're going to do, but I'm sure we'll think of something in Manchester!), then Saturday and Sunday are lazy days, before heading out to Lytham for a week on the Monday.
Think I might need a couple of weeks to recover, but doubt work will let me do that!
I'm loving the idea of a lazy couple of weeks, as I've been running on adrenaline and pain killers at work for the last few weeks!

New Years Eve Bonus!

The plan was to have dinner with the whole family after Jen and I finished work for the day. Then my step daughter, Bellana, was going to head back to Vermont. After that we, meaning me, my wife Jen, and my step son Harry, would ring in the New Year together by probably watching a movie or something. Harry was planning to go back to Vermont on Sunday so we’d have him here for the rest of the week.

Now things have changed! Bellana’s Vermont plans have fallen through and she is staying with us until Sunday too! BONUS!

Our Happy New Years Eve plans just got happier! Both kids are here for the holiday! Awesome!
