A year ago I went to the Hoh Rainforest and a number of young Elk came through grazing. They blocked the path for a good while. When I made it back to the trailhead there was a ranger telling people that although there are elk in the forest, you are incredibly unlikely to come across them. I quietly chuckled to myself as I headed to my car haha.
