I was happy when my mother found an emplacement of #hogweed nearby. But today it turned out it was mowed with the grass it grew with in a ditch by the road. It won't give me the seeds I wanted from it. I think I have to steal the plant. I f*****g will.

Pretty in pink: the humble #Hogweed. I stayed at Newtown, Powys, on my way to and from Skomer last week. There, on Tuesday afternoon, my brother @rob_camera and I walked alongside the River Severn, and enjoyed sightings of two bird species which had been absent for several months due to high water levels: Dipper (a juvenile), and Kingfisher. We also saw various #wildflowers including this Hogweed (Heracleum sphondylium) with its pink-tinged petals.
