I had a great overlook and picnic table for work this afternoon. Along the way I stopped at Hog Island for a pasty and found butterflies on the beach. This was the largest group of butterflies I saw all summer.

Did some picking, carding, and spinning last night with the #HogIsland fleece. It’s far softer than I expected, and has this incredible fluffiness. I’m attempting to spin it with a long draw, a little chunky, so I can ply it up for a throw or some such project. Shoutout to Lisa Pregent & team at the #MountVernon flock for their incredible conservation work. #SE2SE #FiberArts

I also picked up two Hog Island fleeces from the Mount Vernon flock. Shoutout to Lisa Pregent and her conservation team for their incredible work!

These fleeces are from Agent 99 (darker fleece) and Rosalita (white fleece). I’m dividing them three ways among myself and two friends. Each of the fleeces is ~5lbs, and should be a really interesting experience to work with.

More pictures to come of these once I have my hands on my portions.
