For me, it was the dismantling of meaningful societal responses to covid that opened my eyes.
The system regards each of us as expendable, and it wants us to know that we are expendable. Our bodies are not meant to be protected. If my body crumbles, all the productive skills supported by it will vanish to, but no matter. I can be replaced. The cost of replacing me is priced in. Be ready to be replaced.
