The #Hive blockchain forked from Steemit 6 years ago and it all started 10 years ago, so not exactly a passing fad. I've been active there for most of that and it's still fun. Lots of people developing on it as it's free, fast and decentralised. For most of that time I've been doing #FollowFriday (most weeks).

I saw @evan post about Inkwell. Basically, it's a way to monetise your Fediverse presence, although I suspect the project devs will say that's not the main objective.

My morning #running logged by Garmin > Strava > Hive. I earn a little each time. Lots of interesting stuff happening with #Hive. People are creating games and other apps with no storage costs. Transactions are free and fast.
