🤔 When I was actually a teenager I hitchhiked a lot. Lots of people did. Friends hitchhiked. Some hitched through Europe. I picked up hitchhikers.
I last hitched a ride 15-20y ago, & that was very unusual. I don't think I've seen a hitchhiker in a decade or more. 🤷
Do you or other people still hitchhike where you are? Or did "if you hitchhike you're either a serial killer or about to become a victim of one" win our hearts & minds?
It's a little bit frustrating, when getting back from the Swiss hitchhiking championship from Liddes au Valais to Bern takes just three hours (btw. public transportation would take three and a half hours) while getting there on the actual race took about eight hours.
