This is superb. #JohnBarton discusses 3 writing schemas to be identified when reading the Bible:
#Saga - a more recognisable #narrative structure
#Deuteronomous - serving a quasi-judicial function; God’s laws, ordinances. Listed.
#Priestly - Repetive, driving home a message, monotonous, overstatement.
All three ‘schemas’ appear in #Homer.
But this is already,early in Barton’s #HistoryOfTheBible a very handy tool.
Superb.
