#Leipzig for #MonochromeMonday
The building on the left, with its 114 m (344 ft) tower, is the New Town Hall, #NeuesRathaus, the seat of Leipzig's city administration since 1905. Together with the building on the right, called #Stadthaus ("town house"), the massive complex holds the world record for the largest town hall built for this purpose by the number of rooms: 1,708! Both structures are connected by a two-storey skyway (an enclosed bridge), visible in the centre. According to Wikipedia, locals jokingly call it "Beamtenlaufbahn" – career path 😁
The square where I took this photo is #Burgplatz.
I can't decide which edit I prefer. Cleaner straight lines or keeping the converging verticals for a sense of grandeur? You tell me 🤷♀️
