@[email protected] @[email protected] I use Zotero and Obsidian for research and writing. Both are customizable and I can connect them to automate citations. Here is my pitch for using both: http://elenarazlogova.org/?page_id=13

My opinions about Endnote, Citavi and Zotero:
(Inspired by @kimtodzi)

- I can't stand #Endnote. Especially the search / 'advanced search' ist lackluster. And don't get my started about custom output styles...

- I really enjoyed #Citavi's backed-in PDF-viewer and annotator: especially the different layers: bibliography and notes/annotations

- I use #Zotero for its reliable, highly customisable and accessible features; the new PDF-features 😍

on a more practical note:

I had a directory full of Excel-files (73, each with 2 sheets) and needed the second sheet of each file to be joined into 1 big .csv
Also, the rows and columns needed to be swapped.

My solution:
Using #pandas, I was able to accomplish this task pretty easily:

Maybe my solution will be of use to someone else 🙂

A bit late - but here's my #introduction as an #histodon:
I'm based in Berlin (Humboldt-University) and currently doing stuff in #DigitalHumanities / #DigitalHistory.
Toots and boosts in English and German.

I plan on posting showcases of digital tools/methods - those will be tagged #HistoTools

I'm decidedly #AntiFascist, #queer and pro #OpenData and #OpenAccess : "Sharing isn’t immoral — it’s a moral imperative"
