Now, why the hell did I listen to a whole Madonna album [True Blue]. It just happened. I mean, it starts off fun and quite good, but in the end, not so much. It feels downright bad. The only thing to do to recover is to put on a Hijokaidan live recording, also from 1986. Ahhh.

Finally finished ripping this colossus and added it to Navidrome, making way for more ways to listen. Like listening to the whole thing in one go. Just kidding...Or am I?

This noise education on Italian TV with C.C.C.C. and Hijokaidan in 1997 is fantastic – especially the second set where they seem more comfortable, both on stage and in the audience (who are encouraged to participate).

The only thing you need to understand is made clear in English by Mayuko Hino anyway:
"Not music, just noise".

Raionbashi – Kollekte LP:
Puking and other bodily sounds are not unfamiliar in noise music (the first #Hijokaidan record comes to mind), but when you're from Germany, you naturally include some yodeling as well.

It's too hard to choose a favorite Hijokaidan album, but the one that had the most impact on me is "Unlimited Edition". Not only was it the first release I heard from them, but compared to all other noise I'd heard until then, the slow, torturous, high-pitched feedback and screaming presented on this release were something new and special - and still are. I find it extremely beautiful and satisfying. Oh, and there's a cover of "Purple Haze".

Starting the day off with this.

Sometimes you stumble across something by accident and it ends up being cool. I spotted this in someone's Bandcamp wishlist.

EDIT on this one, thanks to @jimhaku for the info - this is part of a series of collaboration albums by noise band Hijokaidan and the vocals on this are via a voice synthesizer, not a real person.

But this is some wild psych indie J-pop that almost has some jazzy leanings sometimes with increasingly crunchy noisy things being overlaid throughout, and it works REALLY well. Catchy, weird, awesome.

#NowPlaying #Cassunday Unlike his contributions to #Incapacitants, #Hijokaidan, and #CCCC, “The Warm Garden” (1993) by #FumioKosakai (小堺文雄) is plaintive music for electronics, Casiotone, violin, and metal plate. Hand dubbed cassettes with professionally made J-card. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sy_SE4U-uok
