Getting to Bearpaw camp is a good feeling on #HST. First big views of the Great Western Divide and Kaweah Canyon, and nice pit stop. The seasonal camp lodge hasn’t been active since before Covid. I wonder if it’ll open this year.

Precipice Lake is a foreboding and magical place. If you sit still you can listen to rockfall echoing across the lake all day long. Don’t mistake the lack of scale, just the lower vertical cliffs touching the water are hundreds of feet tall.
