Parts of the High Plains received much-needed moisture this week, especially in the Dakotas. The above-normal precipitation improved abnormal dryness and drought in the Dakotas, Nebraska, northern Wyoming and eastern Kansas.

Meanwhile, abnormal dryness and drought expanded in Colorado, plus parts of southern Wyoming, western and southern Nebraska and northern Kansas.
