Do you like #emoji ? Those modern #hieroglyphics ?

Emoticons were fine, thak you.
Can we have a UTF variant that doesn't recognize emoji code points?

A lot of emojis are already covered by hieroglyphics, so it can be a learning experience at the same time. Some examples:
𓂬 - approval
𓂸 - dissatisfaction
𓂻 - go
and many others!

Ah, yes, the ancient art of translating #hieroglyphics mistaken for the C++ "ownership" system. 🤓🔍 If only there was a guide that wasn't akin to deciphering the Rosetta Stone, but alas, our hero's #journey through redundant blog posts continues. Who knew revisiting C++ would involve a wild goose chase through a #labyrinth of non-existent guides? 🏃‍♂️💨

Understanding C++ Ownership System

Another scientist in my collection with an unknown birthday is one of the earliest recorded women in science, Peseshet. She is described in the elaborate Saqqara tomb of her son Akhethotep,a royal official and overseer of priests, who lived during the Fifth Dynasty around 2400 BCE. She is described as the “Overseer of the Women Physicians.”

A New Year Puzzle!

As our kids don't have homework and clearly have watched too much TV we set them a challenge. Do a short project on a topic they liked.

Our 6yr old is very into Ancient Egyptians so it was suggested they did a day in the life of a kid back then. It was also suggested they wrote their name in hieroglyphics.

2 hours later - the whole project has been written in hieroglyphs, it sort of makes sense.

Anyway here you go #fediverse enjoy a puzzle. I've blocked her name with a card as she doesn't need internet. Just a slight warning, firstly she has been learning phonics so spelling ain't great, also clearly her drawing isn't great either. It goes left to right and there are some modern numbers in there.

I can ask her for clues if you want but she has already forgotten most of what she wrote. The key is from The Ancient Egyptians from Ladybird (penguin)
