I am new to Hickory, NC after 30 years in Chicago. I'd lived here for almost three months before I finally found time to get my hair cut. Luckily, I found the Old Hickory Barbershop and Joe Casanova got me looking civilized again. Joe's a very good barber and a really great guy as well.

Earlier this week, Joe was in a motorcycle accident and will be out of work for a while. As you can guess, this kind of incident wreaks havoc on anyone but becomes a special kind of disaster for a self-employed person. Anyone who knows the profession knows there's a lot of standing and elevating one's arms, so there's a long road or recovery ahead for Joe.
