"Hisense TVs force owners to watch intrusive ads when switching inputs, visiting the home screen, or even changing channels"
This is just garbage. Need to find the brands that still sell actual TVs.
Ooph, NO.
And here I was actually considering HiSense stuff, for next big-screen-o-entertainment, but nope.
I have a Hisense TV. At one point, it updated and “forgot” the setting to remember the last used input, and started sending me to its home screen. Drove me nuts until I found what was going on. Since I only use it with AppleTV and consoles, I removed the wifi configuration, and any other settings it had. And without internet, it now behaves. If I every buy a new “TV”, it’ll be one of those panels used for retail, without tuner and OS. #smarttv #hisense #enshittification
“Spot test” goes back at least one year and affects multiple markets.
