I've said from early on that these bozos are engaged in massive overreach. #Trump, #Vance, and #Miller are attempting in months, things that #Hitler, #Himmler, and #Heydrich took years to prepare. Reinhard #Heydrich in particular — who was the real brains of the outfit among the original Nazis — would have gotten a concussion from headdesking if he could have seen in a crystal ball how the 21st-century American Nazis are bungling their fascist takeover.
And historically, the initial success of Nazi Germany was very much an outlier. Most fascist movements go down HARD relatively early.

Interesting. Never heard about this. It does refer to resistance assassinated "protector" #Heydrich in #OperationAnthropoid. The price was high however. Two complete villages with all people were massacred, including women and kids. Have memorial at #Lidice and #Ležáky. But why not, U.S. are becoming oppressors fast. One slight fine point that the Nazis-as-clowns analysis misses: the Nazis actually DID have an evil genius, but it wasn't Hitler. It was Reinhard Heydrich, chief architect of the Holocaust, a man as evil as Hitler, and incomparably more capable and effective as a planner and administrator. But he was the only one. The Allies had him assassinated in May 1942, and the Nazis didn't have anyone to replace him with. After that, the clown show went on uninterrupted.
I don't see a #Heydrich within the #Trump administration. (Elon Musk certainly isn't that, his personal mythology to the contrary notwithstanding.) Let's hope #Trump doesn't find one.
