That's my first #hexpansion mocked up!
My first PCB design so pretty hyped, please let me know if you have advice or suggestions! (DRC and electrical checks passing)

The EEPROM will hold code to auto load when pluged in to the #tildagon. Depending on what it's programmed with it'll either be a rickroll, a fun controller for the buzzer/LEDs or add features to a friend's tamagochi-like #tildagonapp .

What should I add? Keen to expand before printing with more features/suggestions! #emfcamp

I was looking at the #EMFcamp badge for too long and now want to make it walk. If anyone wants to also work on this hexpansion, please let me know - maybe we can have an hexapod army in 2028.

This is a CH32V003 running code by @deshipu - a clever I2C to servo bridge. There's an INA219 current and voltage measure chip for the servos.

Tried to document as much as I can on the PCB itself.

Decided to model a #hexpansion idea this afternoon.

It’s a holder for some #StarTrek rank pips.

The height is accurate to the 2026 STEP file, meaning the top should be flush with the top of the badge. Will confirm when I actually have my badge haha

Last year at #WHY2025 I sat under the right canopy at the right time. The EMF badge people approached Arturo182 to design a keeboard hexpansion, which he sadly had to decline. But I sat there saying:

"maybe I can design something" 👉👈

Two prototypes, one job termination and a new friend @sodoku (who wrote the firmware) later and we somehow ended up here: an official hexpansion for you to get for EMF camp.

Oh no. #emfcamp is coming up and I dropped my #tildagon badge onto one of my #hexpansion, ripping off the hexpansion connector, a trace and pad and several small components. 😱

The first re-usable badge and I trash the one part that is supposed to stay the same over the years..

Managed to #pcbrepair most of it though, 👍 by glueing the trace and pad back into place and redo everything else with solder paste. Verified electrical connectivity.

Now I just have to wait for the replacement parts. 😅

It's always a relief/joy when a board works on the first try!
