@Nonilex the SEC is functionally done as an agency. Killing it was the top priority (tied with killing the CFPB) for Marc Andreessen, Brian Armstrong, and the rest of the crypto bros. Over the past few years they made Gary Gensler the most famous #SEC chairman in US history by an enormous margin (and not in a good way).

The new SEC chair is a crypto bro and several of the commissioners already were (e.g. #HesterPeirce has been called "crypto mom" for years). They already dropped their major cases against the crypto companies like #Coinbase (with prejudice). The next step is to allow corporations to issue crypto tokens instead of shares of stock and in so doing just sidestep the SEC entirely.
